While teaching at Bond, I have learned that teaching can be a challenging but rewarding experience. It is certainly not always easy, but it does get easier. As you slowly start to build relationships with your students, you start to feel like you’re making more of an impact and that makes teaching more fun.
The best advice that I can give is to have fun and be happy and upbeat with the students. If the teacher is happy, the students are more likely to be happy as well. If the students have fun while learning English, they are more willing to learn. I’ve learned that using games and songs gets the younger kids excited; they want to participate more.
I’ve taught abroad before, but working for Bond is certainly different. All your classes for Bond are a different experience. You can go from large classes of fifty students to smaller classes of 15 students in one day. This provides an opportunity to challenge yourself and explore the different possibilities of teaching.
I never would have been able to explore these possibilities without Bond. Teaching with Bond has allowed me the opportunity to learn and grow as a teacher. |
